And so it begins... Day One

Well today i woke up excited about starting the elimination plan.  By approximately 10am that excitement had pretty much disintegrated.

The first difficult step is getting used to no morning cup of tea.  My usual mug of builders tea, has been replaced with hot water and lemon.  I don't usually mind having this occasionally, but now that normal tea is banned, it suddenly seems fairly underwhelming.

Breakfast was smoked mackerel, lunch was cold roast chicken and courgettes, followed by an apple.  *sigh*
I'm now sat here wondering how I can do this for another 27 days.  I'm already sick to death of chicken - and when you cant use anything to jazz it up... its somewhat bland.

In an attempt to distract myself from the general feeling of lethargy and caffeine withdrawal, I made a pot of mint tea... made with fresh mint.  This has probably been the high point of the day so far.

Dinner is going to be some sort of salmon salad with asparagus.  On paper this sounds quite nice, so lets try and be positive about it.

In the meantime, I'm faced with the mental hurdle of making my kids their dinner.  They are having baked beans on toast.   Picking at a dry chicken carcass is no substitute for the evil seductive nature of White Bread.
